Winter's Eve with Lady of the Lake

St Paul's Episcopal Church, 1430 J Street, Sacramento, CA

Join us January 20 for our beloved concert, Winter's Eve, where we will share a night of Celtic music in the ancient ambience of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in downtown Sacramento. As the days grow shorter, our spirits are drawn to rest and renewal. Even as the pace of our lives accelerates to handle the stresses of our seasonal celebrations, our natural instincts urge us to retreat into the darkness. In this darkness we dream and regenerate, making ready for new beginnings, which come as the days lengthen and lighten. In this performance, Lady of the Lake's music recognizes this renewal of the soul and celebrates the fire of light and life. Lisa, Michael, Cameron and Liam Lawson are joined by Alice Lenaghan, Veda Dean and Chet Chwalik to perform instrumental music and epic songs, highlighting cello, violin, whistle and flute against rhythm guitar and drums and the sounds of harp and keyboard. Winter's Eve has become an audience favorite since 2012, created by the Lawsons and performed annually at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Sacramento. The Lawsons are also known in the Sacramento area as founders and performers of Sacramento Baroque Soloists. Lady of the Lake's music, bios, and concert schedule can be found at ladyofthelake.us.
